What our clients say

Jack is a gifted professional and very easy to work with. He did a number of projects for me over the past few months, everything from trim work to a complex modification of a built-in in my living area. He does great work, checked in with me often to get my feedback, and was open to changes I wanted to make along the way. Almost as important as the quality of his work is the fact that he calls back when you contact him and shows up when he says he will.

We hired Stansky Construction to renovate our bathroom and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. They removed all of the old tile and installed and sealed the new tile with care and attention to detail. We were also supplying our own replacement window, and they worked with us on the schedule to fit that into the project smoothly. Communication was great from start to finish, and the final result is exactly what we hoped for. We can definitely recommend Stansky Construction to anyone planning a renovation.

Phillip F.

We had a great experience with Stansky Construction. The work they did at our house was high quality with plenty of attention to detail. The project turned out better than we expected. Jack was reasonably priced, easy to communicate with and finished on time.

Jeff T.

Jack was a fabulous communicator throughout my porch project. He came highly recommended.

Frequently asked questions

Who will actually be working on my house?

The person who walks your house, writes the estimate, and shakes your hand is the person on site building it. We've built a team of experienced carpenters and a network of licensed and insured subcontractors to bring the highest level of quality to your projects.

How do estimates work? Do you charge for them?

Estimates are free. Jack comes out to see the space, talks through your goals, and sends a estimate regarding the scope of work discussed in a timely manner.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Stansky Construction is insured and Jack holds NC General Contractor license #108750. North Carolina requires a contractor license for any project exceeding $40,000 in total cost.

Do you handle permits?

We handle all permits and communication with inspectors. We pride ourselves on daily communication with clients regarding project progress and inspection updates.

About us

Jack Stansky

Jack Stansky has been building since he was a kid making forts in the woods with tools borrowed from his parents' shed. Before starting Stansky Construction he spent three years as a carpentry apprentice, working across every phase of residential construction.

That experience is why he still works on site. He believes quality results come from understanding every part of a project, from the first plan to the final walkthrough.
